Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as an executive chef or senior sous chef
  • Experience managing kitchen costs and labor
  • Ability to lead and develop kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of sushi and Asian cuisine preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Availability to work nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Proven kitchen leadership experience as an executive chef or strong sous chef
  • Strong understanding of food cost and labor management
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant service
  • Knowledge of sushi or Asian cuisine preferred
  • Ability to stabilize and lead a kitchen team quickly
  • Availability to work nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Lead all kitchen operations including sushi and hot line
  • Hire, train, and develop a reliable kitchen team
  • Ensure food quality and consistency
  • Control food cost, inventory, and ordering
  • Build schedules and manage labor efficiently
  • Implement systems to improve speed and reduce stress
  • Collaborate with ownership on menu development and profitability
