Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years experience in a leadership culinary role within private clubs or high-end hospitality settings
- Strong understanding of private club culture and member service orientation
- Proven track record in menu planning, banquet operations, and culinary team leadership
- Excellent organizational and financial management capabilities
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen operations
- Proficiency in managing food and labor costs
- Commitment to uphold food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with club leadership and committees
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years experience as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or comparable leadership role in a full-service private club, resort, or high-end hospitality environment
- Proven experience working with House Committees or Food & Beverage Committees
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Expertise in menu development, banquet execution, and kitchen management
- Excellent financial management skills including budget oversight and cost control
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members and staff effectively
Job Duties
- Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution across all dining venues and events
- Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and consistency
- Manage food and labor costs effectively, ensuring financial responsibility and alignment with the club’s budget
- Develop innovative and balanced menus that reflect member preferences, seasonal availability, and current culinary trends
- Execute organized, efficient, and high-quality banquet and event culinary programs, ensuring seamless delivery and memorable experiences
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across all kitchen operations
- Align fully with the General Manager and support the club’s strategic direction, ensuring dining operations enhance the club’s overall success
