Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • minimum 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage kitchen operations
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage budgets and expenses
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to train and develop staff
  • problem-solving skills
  • flexibility to work full time and manage daily operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage field
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • experience in staff development and training
  • understanding of sanitation and food handling regulations
  • proficiency in menu development and food quality monitoring

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen management team
  • provide direction for all day-to-day operations
  • supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • develop and implement purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • establish performance and budget goals
  • communicate and monitor safety procedures
  • manage controllable expenses including food cost and supplies
  • participate in budgeting process
  • provide direction for menu development
  • monitor quality of food products and presentation
  • ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • prepare and cook foods
  • provide exceptional customer service
  • manage day-to-day kitchen operations
  • interact with guests for feedback
