Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three or more years culinary leadership experience
  • compliance with State Board of Health requirements
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ability to communicate effectively with coworkers residents families and business partners
  • ability to analyze and interpret reports
  • understanding of safety procedures
  • proven leadership skills
  • ability to manage budgets and payroll
  • strong customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years culinary leadership experience preferably in independent or assisted living
  • must meet State Board of Health requirements
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read analyze and interpret reports
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of food administration and cost control
  • ability to understand and analyze budget and P&L statements
  • proven leadership and critical thinking skills
  • excellent customer service and employee relations skills
  • ability to respond to inquiries and complaints effectively
  • understanding of safety procedures

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations including staffing training budgeting and forecasting
  • oversee and supervise kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient daily and long-term operations
  • hire train and develop kitchen associates
  • ensure menu quality consistency and creativity while maximizing resources
  • oversee all food production ensuring safety and quality
  • maintain visibility to customers solicit feedback and respond professionally to guest concerns
  • maintain adequate supplies and kitchen equipment
  • enforce sanitation requirements in kitchen walk ins and dry storage areas
  • control yearly payroll budget for the Food Service Department
  • stay current on industry trends and culinary techniques
  • review and approve food service invoices for accuracy
  • maintain and utilize approved vendors for services and supplies
  • assist in development and implementation of culinary standards and procedures company-wide
  • ensure compliance with all state and company sanitation regulations
