Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three or more years culinary leadership experience
- compliance with State Board of Health requirements
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to communicate effectively with coworkers residents families and business partners
- ability to analyze and interpret reports
- understanding of safety procedures
- proven leadership skills
- ability to manage budgets and payroll
- strong customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years culinary leadership experience preferably in independent or assisted living
- must meet State Board of Health requirements
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read analyze and interpret reports
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- knowledge of food administration and cost control
- ability to understand and analyze budget and P&L statements
- proven leadership and critical thinking skills
- excellent customer service and employee relations skills
- ability to respond to inquiries and complaints effectively
- understanding of safety procedures
Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations including staffing training budgeting and forecasting
- oversee and supervise kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient daily and long-term operations
- hire train and develop kitchen associates
- ensure menu quality consistency and creativity while maximizing resources
- oversee all food production ensuring safety and quality
- maintain visibility to customers solicit feedback and respond professionally to guest concerns
- maintain adequate supplies and kitchen equipment
- enforce sanitation requirements in kitchen walk ins and dry storage areas
- control yearly payroll budget for the Food Service Department
- stay current on industry trends and culinary techniques
- review and approve food service invoices for accuracy
- maintain and utilize approved vendors for services and supplies
- assist in development and implementation of culinary standards and procedures company-wide
- ensure compliance with all state and company sanitation regulations
