The Executive Chef position is a full-time, onsite role located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, at White Horse Village, a healthcare facility operating under the Cura brand. This role is a vital part of the healthcare culinary team and offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated culinary professional to lead food production in a healthcare setting. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of meal preparation and food production, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation while maintaining cost efficiency. This position emphasizes creating healthy, appealing meals that meet the nutritional needs of guests, which is a key priority in healthcare dining environments.

Job Requirements

  • At least three years of progressive culinary experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs
  • Experience with budget statements
  • Associate’s degree in culinary arts (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Supervising the quality standards and practices of the food production process, including purchasing, food specifications, meal preparation, service, and sanitation
  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing other production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met
  • Participating in the planning and execution of special events
  • Managing kitchen staff and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Overseeing inventory control and cost management
  • Coordinating with healthcare staff to accommodate specific dietary needs
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
