Job Requirements

  • minimum of 5 years experience in a similar executive chef or senior chef role
  • culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • thorough knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
  • ability to lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff
  • proficiency in menu development and cost control
  • capability to stay current with culinary trends and industry best practices
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as an executive chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role
  • strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development
  • excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
  • experience with inventory management and vendor relations
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus
  • collaborating with the restaurant manager to set item prices
  • staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
  • maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations
  • monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors
  • hiring, training and supervising kitchen staff
  • assisting and directing kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
  • identifying and introducing new culinary techniques
  • preparing meals and completing prep support as needed
