Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Proven ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Familiarity with local sourcing and sustainable food practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and prolonged standing
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily kitchen operations including inventory tracking and quality control
  • Monitor and control food costs and labor hours to meet financial targets
  • Order and manage food products ensuring proper stock rotation and minimal waste
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff ensuring adherence to cooking techniques and portion control
  • Create and adjust weekly staff schedules to optimize labor productivity
  • Coordinate with management to maintain kitchen equipment and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Implement and enforce kitchen policies, procedures, and quality control systems
