Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume food production or catering, or relevant education
  • Culinary degree is a plus
  • Valid manager-level sanitation certification or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Proficient in following oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various cooking methods, cuisines, and procedures
  • Strong record of managing kitchen operations and staff
  • Ability to remain composed in emergency situations and provide effective solutions
  • Familiarity with best practices in the culinary industry

Job Duties

  • Prepare and design weekly menus
  • Conduct menu meetings with chapters
  • Create high-quality meals focusing on presentation and flavor
  • Regularly send photos of meal presentations to management
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining space
  • Wash utensils, equipment, and dishes as needed
  • Ensure timely kitchen operations
  • Oversee and train kitchen staff, manage their schedules, and evaluate performance
  • Order supplies while adhering to budget guidelines and managing stock inventory
  • Enforce sanitation and food safety standards mandated by local regulations
  • Uphold a professional and positive demeanor with coworkers and customers
  • Assist in planning and executing special events as needed
  • Communicate regularly with management through various means
  • Ensure compliance with company policies among staff
