Job Requirements

  • college or culinary school degree
  • five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • two or more years managing culinary or dining services
  • scratch cooking experience
  • ability to read, write and understand English
  • ability to use kitchen tools and equipment
  • physical ability to stand and perform labor-intensive tasks
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • college or culinary school degree
  • combination of education and experience equivalent to culinary school graduation
  • five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • two or more years managing culinary or dining services
  • scratch cooking experience
  • sauté and broiler experience preferred
  • certified executive chef highly preferred
  • servesafe certification preferred
  • ability to read, write and understand English
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and perform physical tasks
  • ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • supervise and coordinate culinary activities for all dining venues including bistro, casual, formal, luminations memory care and club room
  • direct menu development and ensure quality of food preparation
  • train and manage kitchen staff to uphold high standards of service and culinary skills
  • oversee special events and private functions catering
  • ensure compliance with community standards, processes, procedures and practices
  • maintain inventory and requisition kitchen supplies
  • promote a professional, friendly, courteous and timely dining experience for residents and guests
