Job Requirements
- college or culinary school degree
- five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
- two or more years managing culinary or dining services
- scratch cooking experience
- ability to read, write and understand English
- ability to use kitchen tools and equipment
- physical ability to stand and perform labor-intensive tasks
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- college or culinary school degree
- combination of education and experience equivalent to culinary school graduation
- five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
- two or more years managing culinary or dining services
- scratch cooking experience
- sauté and broiler experience preferred
- certified executive chef highly preferred
- servesafe certification preferred
- ability to read, write and understand English
- sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment
- ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and perform physical tasks
- ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- supervise and coordinate culinary activities for all dining venues including bistro, casual, formal, luminations memory care and club room
- direct menu development and ensure quality of food preparation
- train and manage kitchen staff to uphold high standards of service and culinary skills
- oversee special events and private functions catering
- ensure compliance with community standards, processes, procedures and practices
- maintain inventory and requisition kitchen supplies
- promote a professional, friendly, courteous and timely dining experience for residents and guests
