Job Requirements

  • Executive Chef experience of 5 years
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Willingness to work full-time, approximately 50-60 hours per week
  • Ability to work in person at Columbia, Maryland location
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Commitment to creating a collaborative kitchen culture
  • Capability to balance culinary vision and operational responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • Executive Chef experience of at least 5 years
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Proven ability to lead a team collaboratively
  • Experience in menu development and culinary creativity
  • Strong mentorship and communication skills
  • Operational knowledge in food cost, labor, and inventory management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Lead a scratch kitchen with respect for ingredients and seasonal creativity
  • Craft approachable, playful dishes using fine dining techniques
  • Collaborate on menu development and incorporate team feedback
  • Mentor and develop cooks into confident, skilled professionals
  • Manage food cost, labor, and inventory effectively
  • Maintain calm, organized, and communicative leadership in a dynamic kitchen
  • Oversee vendor relationships and troubleshoot equipment issues
