Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in culinary operations or kitchen management
  • Ability to become SERV Safe certified
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety guidelines
  • Proficient in inventory and menu management software
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited culinary institution preferred
  • Experience operating a successful restaurant or corporate dining facility
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP and internal audit procedures
  • Experience with NetMenu or similar culinary software
  • Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and budgeting skills
  • Passion for customer service
  • Positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Monitor kitchen organization and cleanliness to provide a safe environment for employees and guests
  • Ensure workplace safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • Follow food safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
  • Adhere to menu guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
  • Accurately label products according to the labeling SOP
  • Follow all HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
  • Comply with all internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs
  • Maintain a consistent passing score on internal audits each quarter
  • Document corrective actions for workplace safety and sanitation violations
  • Ensure procurement integrity index scores meet key performance indicators
  • Create seasonal, regionally inspired, plant-forward recipes and menus using NetMenu
  • Communicate budget and support cafe leads in maintaining client-approved menus
  • Ensure accurate preparation, cooking, and portioning of menu offerings
  • Maintain accurate production records before and after service
  • Utilize NetMenu order worksheets to purchase ingredients appropriately
  • Provide the highest quality food and service per ISS Guckenheimer standards
  • Equip employees with necessary tools, inventory, and resources
  • Report ingredient discrepancies or safety concerns to management
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of NetMenu applications
  • Participate in culinary leadership meetings for feedback and support
  • Follow company guidelines, SOPs, and policies daily
  • Follow procurement purchasing guidelines, policies, and SOPs
  • Conduct and document monthly inventory
  • Inspect back-of-house product labeling compliance
  • Make final hiring decisions for new back-of-house team members
  • Lead culinary training and validation
  • Train and develop back-of-house employees in NetMenu and operational standards
  • Support General Manager with personal development plans and performance reviews
  • Document and apply corrective actions as needed
  • Align with General Manager on financial initiatives maintaining food, labor, and operating budgets
  • Maintain accurate financial records for variance reporting
  • Support meeting financial goals set by Area Manager
  • Manage all catering events ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as needed
