Job Requirements
- College or culinary school degree
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to culinary school graduation
- Five or more years in relevant food and beverage or hospitality roles
- Two or more years managing culinary or dining services
- Scratch cooking experience
- Preferred sauté and broiler experience
- Certified Executive Chef highly preferred
- ServeSafe certification preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Manual dexterity for kitchen equipment use
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and perform physical activities without extended sitting
- Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- College or culinary school degree
- Five or more years of experience in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality
- Two or more years managing culinary or dining services
- Strong scratch cooking experience
- Preferred sauté and broiler experience
- Certified Executive Chef highly preferred
- ServeSafe certification preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English to manage and communicate effectively
- Manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Job Duties
- Enhance resident dining experience through exceptional culinary oversight and training
- Supervise culinary activities across all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room
- Manage special events and private functions to ensure high satisfaction
- Develop and direct all menu offerings ensuring quality and variety
- Maintain professional, courteous, and friendly service consistent with The Sterling Touch® standards
- Coordinate kitchen staff hiring, training, and management
- Ensure compliance with community standards, processes, and safety procedures
