Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years culinary/kitchen management experience
- Hands-on chef experience
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to manage budgets and control food/labor costs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Associate of science degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
- Extensive catering experience
- Experience with high volume, complex food service operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software
- ServSafe certification
- Strong knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Proven leadership and team management skills
Job Duties
- Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation and food presentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Develop and execute menus with seasonal and local ingredients
- Manage food cost controls and overall kitchen profitability
- Supervise and mentor culinary staff
- Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory management
- Respond to guest complaints and improve customer service
- Conduct team meetings and establish performance goals
- Monitor quality standards of raw and cooked foods
- Implement and enforce food safety protocols
