Job Requirements
- Must possess an active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly level clearance
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or a minimum of thirteen years’ experience in food services including seven years as an Executive Chef
- Ten plus years’ experience in food services
- Five plus years experience as an Executive Chef
- Experience in large food service operations providing cafeteria style or multi-entrée operations
- Experience leading and developing a food service team
- Experience providing complete, high quality meal service
- Experience working in a challenging food services environment
- Experience with maintaining Serve-Safe standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in food services including leadership roles
- Proven expertise in preparing high-quality meals and managing kitchen operations
- Experience working in large-scale food service environments, including cafeteria-style or multi-entrée operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a food service team
- Thorough knowledge of Serve-Safe standards and food safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in demanding and fast-paced environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and ensuring proper portioning
- Cook food according to kitchen standards and recipes to maintain consistency and taste
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with food safety standards
- Create menus including ingredients and cooking methods for effective dish preparation and presentation
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistency and high standards
- Manage meal preparation timing to align with service schedules
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage operations, communicate orders, and ensure efficient meal preparation
- Track and manage kitchen supplies and create reorders
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper storage and food handling techniques
