Job Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a kitchen managerial position
  • Culinary Arts degree or related degree
  • Experience in volume food production within a commercial kitchen
  • Experience and discipline in creating fine food for a multitude of palettes
  • Experience managing and leading staff
  • Previous experience in working with older adults

  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and business principles

Job Duties

  • Prepare food daily as outlined in weekly menu plans
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and service
  • Train and direct kitchen staff with patience and clear communication
  • Monitor food safety procedures including receiving, storage, preparation, and reheating
  • Ensure success of marketing and catering events following protocol
  • Maintain portion control to meet budget while fulfilling nutritional needs
  • Manage quality food preparation, plating, and delivery
  • Report on-the-job injuries promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and team information
  • Communicate effectively with corporate dining services
  • Adhere to state and county regulatory compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
