Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of six years of progressive hotel culinary experience
  • Prior experience in a senior culinary leadership role
  • Proven ability to train and lead culinary staff
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work long hours and under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with corporate leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience typically with Hyatt
  • Experience with opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • At least four years of experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
  • Proven leadership skills

  • Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
