Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen operations
  • knowledge of food handling and sanitation regulations
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in budget management
  • capacity to train and develop staff
  • ability to handle guest relations and resolve complaints
  • authorization to work in the United States
  • availability for full-time employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with six years of culinary or related experience
  • or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with four years of culinary or related experience
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • provides direction for all day-to-day operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving control procedures
  • establishes goals for culinary function including performance and budget goals
  • communicates and ensures understanding of safety procedures
  • manages food cost, supplies, and equipment expenses
  • participates in budgeting for kitchen operations
  • ensures compliance with brand safety standards
  • directs menu development and food presentation
  • monitors food quality and handling standards
  • ensures employees maintain food handling and sanitation certifications
  • prepares and cooks foods for regular service and special events
  • provides exceptional customer service and supports guest satisfaction
  • manages day-to-day kitchen operations to meet quality standards
  • interacts with guests for feedback
  • handles guest concerns and complaints
  • trains and coaches staff on skills and service behaviors
  • administers performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures
  • fosters open communication and employee trust
  • analyzes operational data to improve kitchen performance
