Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum five years’ experience as Executive Chef
  • current ServSafe Certification
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • proficiency in menu planning and recipe development.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred or associate degree with minimum five years as Executive Chef
  • minimum five years experience as Executive Chef in hospitality industry
  • current ServSafe Certification.

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • use innovation, imagination, originality, and talent to produce menus and recipes utilizing the highest quality ingredients within budget
  • understand and maintain monthly and annual budgets for Food & Beverage department
  • review and adjust menus for seasonal ingredients, supply chain issues, and cost changes
  • ensure purchasing standards and approved vendor use
  • maintain strong vendor relationships
  • accurately report and submit monthly inventory
  • interview, hire, train, and supervise culinary and back of house staff including scheduling and performance review
  • collaborate with community leadership to maintain high customer satisfaction and health survey scores
  • ensure proper kitchen equipment maintenance and operation
  • guarantee dietary needs and restrictions are met
  • enforce food safety, hygiene, and storage procedures
  • manage food preparation to minimize waste
  • oversee accurate daily record keeping
  • provide ongoing staff training in food preparation and presentation quality
  • collaborate with Hospitality Manager to align front and back of house operations for outstanding service
  • work with Marketing and Activities to meet resident needs and plan events
  • meet regularly with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
  • advise leadership on resident concerns
  • assist kitchen and restaurant staff as needed.
