Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary education preferred
  • minimum 5 years culinary leadership experience
  • valid ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • proven experience in large scale foodservice or catering
  • ability to manage multiple kitchen venues
  • excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced high volume environment
  • solution oriented with positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • American Culinary Federation certification preferred
  • 5-7 years progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • hands-on chef experience
  • experience in high volume, multi-venue foodservice operations
  • knowledge of healthcare, institutional and batch cooking
  • high end catering experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet skills
  • strong organization and time management skills
  • high degree of professionalism

Job Duties

  • Directly supervises kitchen and culinary staff
  • ensures compliance with health department regulations
  • maintaining high sanitation and safety standards
  • works closely with front of the house staff to exceed food and service expectations
  • hiring, coaching, scheduling and training culinary staff
  • manages food cost controls and presentation standards
  • oversees catering and multi-venue meal operations
