Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary education preferred
- minimum 5 years culinary leadership experience
- valid ServSafe certification or equivalent
- proven experience in large scale foodservice or catering
- ability to manage multiple kitchen venues
- excellent communication and team leadership skills
- ability to work in fast-paced high volume environment
- solution oriented with positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- American Culinary Federation certification preferred
- 5-7 years progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- hands-on chef experience
- experience in high volume, multi-venue foodservice operations
- knowledge of healthcare, institutional and batch cooking
- high end catering experience
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
- valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet skills
- strong organization and time management skills
- high degree of professionalism
Job Duties
- Directly supervises kitchen and culinary staff
- ensures compliance with health department regulations
- maintaining high sanitation and safety standards
- works closely with front of the house staff to exceed food and service expectations
- hiring, coaching, scheduling and training culinary staff
- manages food cost controls and presentation standards
- oversees catering and multi-venue meal operations
