Job Requirements
- commitment to values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
- ability to work varied schedules including occasional weekends and holidays
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- ability to stay on feet for long periods
- valid food handler's card
- willingness to obtain first aid/cpr certification
- knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of five years experience as a chef or manager with leadership responsibilities in a similar environment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- minimum of five years experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
- demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
- knowledgeable in the use of computers including ms excel and outlook
- valid food handler's card
- willingness to obtain first aid/cpr certification
- knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
- ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with residents, family members, visitors, and team members
Job Duties
- lead and manage all kitchen operations and staff
- develop and plan menus that meet dietary needs and preferences
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- manage kitchen inventory and order supplies efficiently
- maintain kitchen profitability and budget
- train and mentor kitchen staff to promote teamwork and excellence
- collaborate with management to enhance dining services and resident satisfaction
