Job Requirements

  • commitment to values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • ability to work varied schedules including occasional weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • ability to stay on feet for long periods
  • valid food handler's card
  • willingness to obtain first aid/cpr certification
  • knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of five years experience as a chef or manager with leadership responsibilities in a similar environment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • minimum of five years experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
  • demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
  • knowledgeable in the use of computers including ms excel and outlook
  • valid food handler's card
  • willingness to obtain first aid/cpr certification
  • knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
  • ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with residents, family members, visitors, and team members

Job Duties

  • lead and manage all kitchen operations and staff
  • develop and plan menus that meet dietary needs and preferences
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • manage kitchen inventory and order supplies efficiently
  • maintain kitchen profitability and budget
  • train and mentor kitchen staff to promote teamwork and excellence
  • collaborate with management to enhance dining services and resident satisfaction
