Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years of culinary/kitchen management experience
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- American Culinary Federation Certification preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- able to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Job Qualifications
- American Culinary Federation Certification preferred
- 5-7 years experience in progressive culinary/kitchen management
- hands-on chef experience
- experience in high volume, multi-venue complex food service operations
- knowledge of healthcare, institutional, and batch cooking
- high end catering experience
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
- valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- proficient with Microsoft Office and internet
- strong organization and time management skills
- high degree of professionalism
Job Duties
- Directly supervises kitchen and culinary staff
- ensures compliance with health department regulations
- maintains high sanitation and safety standards
- works closely with front of the house staff to exceed food and service expectations
- hires, coaches, schedules and trains culinary staff
- manages multiple dining venues including fine dining, quick service, catering, and healthcare dining rooms
- oversees food production, cost controls, and presentation
