Job Qualifications
- Progressive culinary experience in a fast-paced multi-faceted operation
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading culinary operations as an executive chef
- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Demonstrated ability to develop menu items for a diverse audience
- Ability to assess food trends and their value in enhancing guest experience
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of the culinary department including menu concepting and design
- Ensure the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling and storage of food items
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate culinary associates fostering open communication
- Establish daily priorities and assign production and preparation tasks
- Ensure kitchen areas are stocked with necessary tools, supplies, and equipment
- Review banquet event orders and requisition supplies maintaining quality standards
- Conduct frequent walk-throughs of kitchen areas coaching associates to correct deficiencies
- Assist the Catering department in developing special menus and meet with clients as requested
- Oversee training of new hires and maintain ongoing training programs for staff
