Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of five years experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
  • demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
  • knowledge of computer applications including MS Excel and Outlook
  • valid food handler's card
  • willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • ability to work varied schedules including occasional weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods
  • maintain positive and professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • minimum of five years experience as a food services director, manager, or chef with leadership responsibilities
  • demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen
  • knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
  • valid food handler's card
  • willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
  • strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen operations and staff
  • ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • oversee inventory and ordering of supplies
  • develop menus that meet nutritional standards and resident preferences
  • control food costs and budget management
  • train and mentor kitchen staff
