Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand primary workplace language
  • Ability to create marketing strategies and promotional menu items
  • Must have a positive attitude and serve as a leader on hotel leadership group

Job Duties

  • Responsible for development and enhancement of the food product
  • Maintain quality of food product and ensure consistency in delivery and standards
  • Support team goals and measure effectiveness through food and beverage profit and service performance
  • Selection, training, and development of culinary personnel
  • Review staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial needs
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
