Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum five years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • Proven experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant environments
  • Current ServSafe certification required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail entertainment setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial statements
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Five plus years of kitchen management or chef experience
  • Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues
  • Extensive experience in banquet style events
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in profit and loss management
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Work with Operations and Sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events including food and beverage preparation, service, and cleanup
  • Assist with cooking when needed
  • Estimate food consumption and make purchases from specified food programs
  • Schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume shifts
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
  • Develop key staff
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • Supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
  • Manage kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
  • Report any critical issues to the General Manager
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of cooks, lead cooks, dishwashers, and servers
  • Support the General Manager on all food-related matters
