Job Requirements

  • College or Culinary School degree required
  • five or more years experience in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant, or senior living hospitality
  • two or more years experience managing culinary or dining services
  • scratch cooking experience required
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without extended sitting
  • ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • College or Culinary School degree
  • five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant, or senior living hospitality experience
  • two or more years managing culinary or dining services
  • scratch cooking experience
  • ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • knowledge of sauté and broiler techniques preferred
  • Certified Executive Chef highly preferred
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • excellent manual dexterity of hands and arms
  • effective communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional oversight and culinary training to kitchen employees
  • direct all menu offerings across various dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room
  • supervise and coordinate culinary activities for all dining venues and special events
  • ensure all food preparation and service complies with community standards and regulations
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within kitchen operations
  • collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure alignment with community practices and philosophies
  • foster a high level of satisfaction for residents and guests through professional, friendly, and timely service
