Job Requirements
- degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field preferred
- minimum 5 years of culinary management experience
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- strong financial acumen in food cost control and inventory management
- ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- proactive recruiting and training abilities
- ability to handle fast-paced environment
- commitment to quality and guest satisfaction

- proven culinary leadership experience
- strong menu development skills using local and seasonal ingredients
- ability to manage kitchen operations including procurement and cost controls
- experience in mentoring and developing kitchen staff

- proficiency in labor management and scheduling tools
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- front of house experience preferred
Job Duties
- consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- oversee daily operations of the kitchen department including banquets, outlets, in room dining, staff cafeteria and stewarding
- responsible for the execution of the hotel's strategic plan as it relates to all culinary areas
- role model our service promises and ensure all reporting departments focus on delivery of service essentials
- develop and prepare menus balancing creativity and guest requests with leading edge presentation and food quality
- maintain food and beverage standards through standardized recipes and safe food handling
- optimize profitability by monitoring inventory, food cost controls and promotional initiatives
- use labor management tools to set and monitor staffing and productivity targets
- prepare weekly schedules ensuring productivity maximization
- maintain staffing levels through proactive recruiting
- ensure timely and consistent performance management and colleague training
- actively participate in development and implementation of kitchen and restaurant capital projects
- participate in weekly operational meetings including banquet event reviews
- ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls and seek performance improvement
- oversee menu creation for staff restaurant
- promote teamwork and maintain strong cross-department relationships
- participate in media and community opportunities to promote the hotel
- ensure compliance with hygiene, security and health and safety requirements
- respond personally to food-related feedback and ensure proper reporting
- ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained
- actively participate in department head and food and beverage meetings
- hold regular departmental communication meetings and support colleague participation in hotel committees
