Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage management
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage management
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to manage budgeting and expenses
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience in staff training and development
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage management
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 4 years experience
  • proven leadership skills
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage financial aspects such as budgeting and cost control
  • experience in staff development and performance management
  • knowledge of menu development and food presentation standards
  • ability to handle guest relations and resolve complaints professionally

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • provides direction for all day-to-day operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • develops and implements guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas
  • monitors the quality of raw and cooked food products
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • manages day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations
  • provides coaching and mentoring to staff
  • oversees disciplinary procedures and performance appraisals
  • interacts with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • prepares and cooks foods
  • reviews staffing levels to ensure operational needs are met
  • demonstrates new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
