Job Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in culinary arts or hospitality management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years as an executive chef preferably leading large, fast-paced kitchens
  • Passionate about industry trends, menu concepts, and people management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work with PR and Marketing in campaign and budget creation
  • Flexible schedule with availability on weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
  • Food handler certification and alcohol awareness certification if applicable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, restaurant POS, inventory, procurement, payroll, and accounting software

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Chef in large, fast-paced kitchens
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, preparation, presentation, and costing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with PR and Marketing teams
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Certified Food Handler and, if applicable, Alcohol Awareness Certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS, inventory and procurement software
  • Experience with payroll, timekeeping, business, and accounting software

Job Duties

  • Create innovative and delicious seasonal menus using food industry knowledge and trends
  • Lead daily kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and high standards
  • Own team leadership, communication, training, and development
  • Provide outstanding guest service and foster lasting relationships
  • Maintain consistent food quality according to recipes and standards
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and prep areas
  • Monitor and maintain equipment condition through preventative programs
  • Schedule labor and control labor costs while ensuring full staffing
  • Conduct employee interviews, hiring, training, and performance appraisals
  • Facilitate ongoing service education and training programs
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR for campaign and budget creation
  • Handle paperwork including reports, forms, and schedules in a timely manner
  • Administer corrective action consistent with policies and procedures
