Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a large-scale cooking operation
  • Prior dietary experience in a long-term care or similar setting
  • Minimum of three years in kitchen management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Flexible and energetic personality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a large-scale cooking operation preferred
  • Prior dietary experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or memory care setting required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a kitchen managerial position highly preferred
  • Professional image in appearance and behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team

Job Duties

  • Ensure all food items are prepared to culinary standards and provide residents with an exceptional dining experience while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
  • Work continuously to improve resident, employee, and client satisfaction
  • Ensure delivery of company objectives related to budget, food and labor costs, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Lead the culinary team in day-to-day operations
  • Manage kitchen staffing and scheduling
  • Oversee food purchasing and inventory control
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
