Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five plus years of experience in high volume culinary and hospitality settings
  • Three plus years of experience in kitchen leadership
  • Valid food handler's card and required certifications
  • Basic computer literacy including Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop and kneel frequently
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Experience using Point of Sale systems
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts as determined by business needs

Job Qualifications

  • Five plus years of high volume culinary and hospitality experience
  • Three plus years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
  • Current food handler's card and other certifications as required by federal, state and local law
  • Strong knowledge of food and restaurant service skills including food production, storage, rotation, preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation and service and production time standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate operational information
  • Comfortable using computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale Systems and Outlook Email
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or similar preferred
  • Willingness to perform other duties as required to support the business

Job Duties

  • Create a relaxed destination by promoting a learning and training environment for kitchen team members through hands-on approach focusing on proper cooking techniques, knife skills and time management
  • Responsible for kitchen operations to ensure the team delivers an exceptional culinary experience to guests
  • Manage individual restaurant expenses by ensuring budgetary compliance and effectively communicate monthly financial information including food cost, labor expense and supply purchases
  • Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
  • Seek out marketing opportunities within the community and partner with retail to leverage the retail and restaurant relationship during marketing and sales events
