Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five plus years of experience in high volume culinary and hospitality settings
- Three plus years of experience in kitchen leadership
- Valid food handler's card and required certifications
- Basic computer literacy including Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel frequently
- Ability to stand for entire shifts
- Experience using Point of Sale systems
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts as determined by business needs
Job Qualifications
- Five plus years of high volume culinary and hospitality experience
- Three plus years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
- Current food handler's card and other certifications as required by federal, state and local law
- Strong knowledge of food and restaurant service skills including food production, storage, rotation, preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation and service and production time standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate operational information
- Comfortable using computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale Systems and Outlook Email
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or similar preferred
- Willingness to perform other duties as required to support the business
Job Duties
- Create a relaxed destination by promoting a learning and training environment for kitchen team members through hands-on approach focusing on proper cooking techniques, knife skills and time management
- Responsible for kitchen operations to ensure the team delivers an exceptional culinary experience to guests
- Manage individual restaurant expenses by ensuring budgetary compliance and effectively communicate monthly financial information including food cost, labor expense and supply purchases
- Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
- Seek out marketing opportunities within the community and partner with retail to leverage the retail and restaurant relationship during marketing and sales events
