Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 6 years culinary or food and beverage experience
  • 2-year degree from accredited university preferred
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to manage multiple kitchen areas
  • experience with budgeting and cost control
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage or related area
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • 4 years of relevant culinary experience

  • financial management abilities
  • experience in menu development

  • ability to mentor and coach staff

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • provides direction for daily kitchen operations
  • supervises and coordinates food preparation staff
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • establishes culinary and budgetary goals
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • manages employee training and development
  • addresses guest feedback and service issues
  • administers performance appraisals and disciplinary processes
  • collaborates with banquet and catering departments on food knowledge
  • monitors food quality and presentation
  • manages department controllable expenses
  • fosters team cooperation and communication
