Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 6 years experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts or related field with minimum 4 years experience
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen teams
  • strong understanding of food safety standards
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • customer service oriented
  • proficient in culinary techniques

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in culinary or related field
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary or related field
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • experience with budget management
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • provides direction for daily operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers
  • manages department expenses including food cost
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • interacts with guests to obtain feedback and handles complaints
  • coaches and mentors kitchen staff
