Job Requirements
- High school education or higher
- At least 10 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- Proven management of large kitchen operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety
- Certification from American Culinary Association or similar
- Food safety certification
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment
- Successful completion of E-Verify check
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-years progressive culinary leadership experience preferably in private club or luxury hotel
- Proven experience managing large-scale kitchen operations and high-end events
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of classical and contemporary culinary techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage food and labor costs effectively
- Culinary degree from accredited institution preferred
- Experience in private golf or country club setting preferred
- Knowledge of wine, beverage pairing, and upscale dining trends preferred
- Certified Executive Chef or similar certification preferred
Job Duties
- Design, develop, and execute innovative seasonal menus for all dining venues
- Maintain consistency, presentation standards, and exceptional food quality
- Adapt menus to reflect member preferences and dietary needs
- Lead tastings, menu presentations, and culinary events
- Oversee kitchen operations including scheduling, production planning, inventory control, and purchasing
- Establish and enforce standardized recipes, portion control, and plating
- Coordinate effectively between culinary staff and front-of-house management
- Monitor equipment usage, maintenance, and cleanliness
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage culinary staff
- Foster a positive and high-performance kitchen culture
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching
- Maintain appropriate staffing for daily operations and events
- Develop and manage culinary budget including food and labor costs
- Source high-quality ingredients efficiently
- Analyze food cost reports and financial metrics
- Collaborate with management for revenue goals
- Ensure exceptional dining experience exceeding member expectations
- Customize special events including weddings and galas
- Engage professionally with members for feedback
- Represent culinary program at club events
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
- Implement best practices in sanitation and allergen management
- Maintain ServSafe standards across kitchen operations
