Job Requirements

  • Valid food handlers card
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in executive chef or equivalent roles
  • Ability to work full time
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in culinary environments
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational costs effectively

  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operations including catering and healthcare cuisine
  • Ability to develop menus that balance quality and resident dietary needs
  • Experience with food safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and financial record keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents and team members

Job Duties

  • Champion Pacific Retirement Services culture by ingraining mission, vision, and core values into all aspects of the role
  • Build strong relationships with residents and team members through empathy and genuine communication
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence in dining venues during key meal periods
  • Lead culinary operations including recipe creation, menu planning, catering, and healthcare cuisine
  • Train, coach, and mentor culinary staff ensuring consistent onboarding and adherence to policies and standards
  • Maintain exemplary quality, compliance, and safety standards through rigorous food safety and sanitation practices
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgets, cost control, and staffing to drive operational and financial performance
  • Partner with dietitians and corporate leadership to innovate and continually improve dining programs
