Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • culinary arts degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or 5 to 10 years as a Chef Manager
  • experience in fast-paced high volume and complex production environment
  • ServSafe certification and/or HACCP knowledge
  • knowledge of production systems and food service technology
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to motivate and lead a team

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production aligns with the Executional Framework
  • ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, presentation, and service
  • manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality food presentation
  • train and manage culinary and kitchen employees in best practice food production techniques
  • coach employees by establishing shared goals and methods
  • reward and recognize team performance
  • plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • maintain all staff records including training, checklists, and performance data
  • develop and maintain effective client and guest relationships
  • interact with guests daily
  • communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • deliver food and labor targets
  • focus on margin improvement and understand performance metrics
  • ensure efficient execution and delivery of culinary products according to menu
  • maintain integrity of standard Aramark food offer ensuring food quality and safety
  • comply with Operational Excellence fundamentals including waste management, menu and recipe standards, and labor standards
  • manage supply chain and procurement with authorized suppliers
  • implement Food Framework
  • accurately estimate food consumption and requisitions
  • ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment
  • comply with Aramark SAFE food, Quality Assurance standards, and safety policies
  • comply with all applicable laws and company policies including safety, health, and wage regulations
