Job Requirements
- Minimum ten years experience as an executive chef or sous chef in a related operation
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team building skills
- Post secondary education in restaurant management, nutrition or related field preferred
- Culinary degree or certificate preferred
- ServeSafe certification required
- Willingness to obtain CDM certification within 12 months of hire
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years experience as an executive chef or sous chef in hotel, private club, fine dining restaurant or similar operation preferred
- Excellent management, interpersonal, team building and communication skills
- Post secondary courses in restaurant management, nutrition or related field preferred
- Degree or certificate from a culinary institute preferred
- Must be ServeSafe certified
- Must have or be willing to obtain Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification within 12 months of hire
Job Duties
- Provide leadership in all kitchen operations and model hospitality culture
- Coordinate food preparation for the entire community
- Ensure recipes and standards are maintained to produce the highest quality food product
- Oversee cooking and baking activities while ensuring compliance with dietary standards and sanitation
- Monitor quality and nutritional value of food served
- Supervise and train culinary personnel to foster a positive work environment
- Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations
