Job Requirements

  • College or culinary school degree
  • Five or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • Two or more years managing culinary or dining services
  • Scratch cooking experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Ability to read, write and understand English to direct, manage, hire and train staff
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • Certified Executive Chef highly preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee and direct culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and service
  • Plan and develop menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents
  • Coordinate catering and culinary services for special events and private functions
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Foster a professional, friendly, and courteous environment to maximize resident satisfaction
