Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three years experience in food services management required
  • Culinary certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Serve Safe certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority
  • Knowledge of food and nutrition services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Directly responsible for the food preparation for patients, cafeteria, and doctors' dining room
  • Develops and implements work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements
  • Inspects food preparation and serving areas, equipment, and storage facilities to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Participates in menu planning with the Director and Clinical Nutrition Manager
  • Supervises and prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals including special functions
  • Manages Hot Production Staff including hiring, training, counseling, and evaluating
  • Coordinates staff scheduling and assignments for timely and economical food preparation
