Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years of management experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for the team
  • Requires advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experiential knowledge in people and problem management
  • Effective oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Must comply with safety, health, wage, and hour regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for preparation of food items including production, presentation, and service standards
  • Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality in final food presentation
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees to create a shared understanding of goals and methods
  • Recognize and reward employees
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain all staff records including training records, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Aggregate and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets consistently
  • Focus on margin improvement through understanding metrics, data, order, and inventory trends
  • Ensure efficient execution and delivery of culinary products as per daily menu
  • Maintain integrity of the standard Aramark food offer ensuring food quality and safety
  • Comply fully with Operational Excellence standards managing waste, menus, recipes, and labor
  • Understand supply chain and procurement processes, using only authorized suppliers
  • Implement Food Framework knowledge
  • Ensure accuracy in estimated food consumption and requisitions
  • Ensure proper kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Comply with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards and occupational safety policies
  • Adhere to all applicable policies including safety, health, wage, and hour regulations
