Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law and Company standards
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to meet company motor vehicle policy standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving abilities with customers and employees
  • Availability to perform driving duties when required

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers or employees
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law and Company standards
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • May require driving responsibilities using company or personal vehicle
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must meet and comply with Company motor vehicle policy standards

Job Duties

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and performance managing assigned staff
  • Scheduling of hours, breaks, and meal periods
  • Maintain monthly and annual budgets for the Culinary Services department
  • Produce written documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
  • Maintain the appropriate inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and table ware
  • Ensure purchasing standards are maintained
  • Maintain strong and positive vendor relationships
  • Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served according to Company standards and legal requirements
  • Meet regularly with residents and family members to confirm high satisfaction levels
  • Work with staff to provide high levels of customer service
  • Confirm cooperation between front of house and back of house staff to exceed resident and guest expectations
  • Work with community leadership to maintain customer satisfaction and department of health survey scores
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and submission of reports and invoices
  • Maintain employee satisfaction and engagement scores
  • Delegate tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality of kitchen and dining areas
  • Conduct and participate in department meetings, in-services, and pre-meal stand ups
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events and banquets
  • Work closely with Community Sales team to market the community
  • Ensure staff understand Company expectations and first impression requirements
  • Act as a manager on duty as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
