Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree preferred
- One to two years management experience in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Available for on call shifts, after hours, weekends, holidays
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Physical ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for operating kitchen equipment
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Passion for hospitality and food quality
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One to two years in a management position preferably in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Ability to thrive under high-pressure conditions
- Skill in precision plating to company standards
- Strong passion for food and guest experience
- Gracious, friendly, and engaging demeanor
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to develop positive working relationships
- Capacity to work independently and promote teamwork
- Availability to work on call shifts, after hours, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in developing quarterly and special occasion menus
Job Duties
- Maintain constant quality control of all food prepared and ensure it meets Culinary Director and restaurant standards and is served on time
- Understand the operational set up and principle of the restaurant
- Oversee and collaborate with the Sous Chef to produce the highest culinary standards
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional service and enhance dining experiences
- Continuously train and develop the team to improve skills and performance
- Hire and train staff to prepare and cook all menu items
- Identify training needs and conduct training for all back of house team members
- Coordinate kitchen team operations and support positions in need
- Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to events
- Ensure efficient and accurate use of produce, products, and equipment
- Implement and enforce hygiene and safety protocols to the highest standards
- Conduct inventory of ingredients and equipment and place orders as needed
