Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess or successfully pass a Food Service Sanitation Certification course
  • 3-5 years proven chef experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or senior living facility
  • Prior experience in a kitchen managerial position
  • Advanced culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to design innovative dishes and menus
  • Must have excellent communication, both verbal and written and interpersonal skills to handle interactions effectively
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to upper management direction

  • Manage kitchen budget and control costs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Engage with residents to gather feedback and improve dining services
