Job Requirements
- 5+ years of high volume culinary or hospitality experience
- 3+ years of high volume kitchen leadership experience
- Current food handler's card and other certification as required by federal, state, or local law
- Strong knowledge of food and restaurant service skills including food production and service, storage and rotation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and time standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computer systems such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale System, and Outlook Email
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or similar preferred
- Willingness to perform other duties as required to support the business
- Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to maneuver equipment such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other kitchen tools
- Scheduled shifts determined by business needs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of food and restaurant service skills including all phases of food production, storage, preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service and production time standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven track record of increasing experience and responsibility
- Comfortable using computer systems such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale System, and Outlook Email
- Proven leadership experience in high-volume kitchen environments
Job Duties
- Create a relaxed destination by promoting a learning and training environment for all kitchen members through hands-on approach focusing on proper cooking techniques, knife skills, time management
- Set the course by being responsible for kitchen operations and ensuring the kitchen team delivers exceptional culinary experience to guests
- Build the perfect oasis by managing individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance and effectively communicating monthly financial information including food cost, labor expense, and supply purchases
- Support your crew by maintaining appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
- Be proactive in paradise by seeking out marketing opportunities within the community and partnering with retail to leverage Retail/Restaurant relationship during marketing and sales events
