Job Requirements

  • Requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years culinary experience
  • Preferred 2 years management experience
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of food production techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team
  • Familiarity with culinary operations and inventory management
  • Commitment to food quality and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for the team
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experience in managing people and solving problems
  • Requires oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, production, presentation, and service
  • Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to maintain food quality
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees in best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees to achieve shared goals and recognize their accomplishments
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain staff records including training, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest relationships
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets
  • Focus on margin improvement by understanding performance metrics, orders, and inventory trends
  • Ensure efficient execution of culinary products according to daily menu
  • Maintain Aramark food quality and safety standards
  • Comply with Operational Excellence fundamentals including managing waste and standard menus
  • Understand supply chain and procurement processes, using authorized suppliers only
  • Implement Food Framework fully
  • Ensure accurate food consumption estimation and requisitions
  • Oversee proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Comply with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards and safety policies
  • Comply with all applicable policies including safety, health, wage and hour regulations
