Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years high volume cooking experience
- Culinary school certification preferred
- Knowledge of a variety of regional cooking styles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and emergencies
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and punctual
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of high volume cooking experience in a resort, hotel or fine dining environment
- culinary school certification preferred
- must have knowledge of a variety of regional cooking styles
- able to follow oral and written instructions in English, Spanish a plus
- demonstrate good verbal communications and interpersonal skills in English, Spanish a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to daily production schedule utilizing standardized recipes and specialized diets
- assign and coordinate work for kitchen personnel
- coordinate food handling, cooking schedules and cooking methods to assure an upscale culinary experience
- ensure proper service of meals to conserve nutritional value, flavor, appearance and quality
- supervise the cooks, prep cooks and dishwasher staff
- work closely with entertainment and activities directors to design and execute monthly events
