Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years of culinary experience
- Experience in managing culinary teams preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of high-end culinary techniques for event catering preferred
- Proficiency in technology platforms such as MS Teams, Prima, and Sysco
- Understanding of food safety standards and quality assurance
- Ability to manage food production, presentation, and service
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory
- Compliance with safety, health, and wage regulations
- Willingness to work in a healthcare foodservice environment
Job Qualifications
- Five to ten years of culinary experience
- Two to four years in a culinary management role preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- High-end culinary training preferred for catering events
- Technology savvy with experience in MS Teams, Prima, Sysco
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
Job Duties
- Ensure culinary production aligns with the Executional Framework
- Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, presentation, and service
- Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to guarantee quality of final food presentation
- Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
- Coach employees to create shared goals and understanding of job responsibilities
- Reward and recognize employees for performance
- Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
- Maintain staff records such as training, shift checklists, and performance data
- Develop and maintain client and guest relationships for business growth
- Interact directly with guests daily
- Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
- Deliver food and labor targets
- Focus on margin improvement through understanding metrics, data, orders, and inventory trends
- Ensure efficient execution and delivery of all culinary products according to menu
- Maintain integrity of food quality and safety standards
- Manage waste, menus, recipes, and supply chain compliance
- Ensure authorized suppliers are used
- Maintain compliance with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards
- Follow all relevant safety, health, wage, and hour policies
