Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 years of progressive hotel culinary experience
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Minimum 4 years in a senior culinary role
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain corporate communications
- Capability to coach and counsel staff
- Ability to handle multiple kitchen areas and operations
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to develop and manage budgets
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

Job Duties
- Lead kitchen management team
- Provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Perform colleague duties in their absence or ensure appropriate replacements
- Set performance standards and monitor staff performance
- Lead with interpersonal and communication skills to influence and encourage the team
- Establish and maintain mutual trust, respect, and cooperation
- Ensure fair and consistent administration of property policies
- Review staffing to meet guest service and financial objectives
- Develop and implement purchasing and receiving guidelines
- Create and cost new menu items
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Handle guest feedback and complaints
- Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques and presentation
- Manage department controllable expenses
- Participate in budget process
- Conduct performance appraisals and manage disciplinary procedures
- Interview, hire, and onboard new culinary team members
- Collaborate with sales and banquet teams on menu and food knowledge
- Maintain open communication with executive teams and colleagues
- Analyze information to solve problems
