Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
- Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in culinary or healthcare foodservice management
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience developing and analyzing quality improvement processes
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams aligned with organizational mission and values
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day culinary and sanitation operations for the Food & Nutrition Services department
- Coordinate food production ensuring quality, preparation, and presentation align with standards
- Develop and implement culinary integrity and quality improvement programs
- Train, develop, and manage culinary staff including hiring, performance appraisals, and discipline
- Collaborate with clinical dietitians to optimize patient care through menu planning and nutrition analysis
- Participate in budget reviews and prepare reports on program financials and operational issues
- Lead customer satisfaction initiatives and prepare performance improvement plans as needed
