Job Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience developing and analyzing quality improvement processes
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams aligned with organizational mission and values

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day culinary and sanitation operations for the Food & Nutrition Services department
  • Coordinate food production ensuring quality, preparation, and presentation align with standards
  • Develop and implement culinary integrity and quality improvement programs
  • Train, develop, and manage culinary staff including hiring, performance appraisals, and discipline
  • Collaborate with clinical dietitians to optimize patient care through menu planning and nutrition analysis
  • Participate in budget reviews and prepare reports on program financials and operational issues
  • Lead customer satisfaction initiatives and prepare performance improvement plans as needed
