Job Requirements

  • 2 or more years of executive chef experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • leadership skills that promote positive culture
  • knowledge of food preparation and health standards
  • mastery of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • experience leading teams of 15 or more employees
  • obtain ServSafe and Responsible Sellers certificates within 90 days
  • knowledge of back of house systems including time and temp logs, recipe building, cost outs, inventory, order guides, invoice entry, and cost control

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or certificate preferred
  • 2 or more years of executive chef experience
  • proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role
  • thorough knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • creative approach to food presentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily prep list and manage kitchen operations
  • purchase food items, supplies, and equipment
  • maintain safe, orderly, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel
  • supervise and train all back-of-house staff
  • interview, hire, and schedule kitchen employees
  • manage disciplinary actions and staff development recommendations
